Abstract

The text is divided into two parts: the first discusses language as a specific form of influence and the second examines one case study of media that is part of the Bulgarian-French cultural environment and is presented as a resource of cultural diplomacy. The language-culture relationship has been heavily researched in the scholarly literature, but the views offered here reflect my attempt to take a more unusual approach to the topic, starting from the understanding that linguistic spaces construct different realities. And also, that language paints different pictures of the world. The aim is to analyze the interactions through language and media and to make a content analysis of the „Revue Périodique” journal (1998-2010).
