Kurzer Kommentar bezüglich des angenommenen Dokumentes des orthodoxen Konzils auf Kreta – „Die Beziehungen der orthodoxen Kirche mit der übrigen christlichen Welt“

Abstract

Iwan Jowtschew, Brief commentary on the document adopted by the Orthodox Council of Crete - ‘The relations of the Orthodox Church with the rest of the Christian world’. The paper explores a question that was also addressed during the Pan-Orthodox Council in Crete in 2016. My disagreement concerns certain scholars in Bulgaria who ignore the historical tradition of the Church and criticize its relations with other Christian communities as groundless and unfounded. In my view, the criteria for recognizing the existence of these communities lie within the established historical tradition, i.e., its historical course. The most reliable factor for the existence of a community is its historical trajectory.
