The following research provides information on the origins of Great Lent and Holy Week, as well as the establishment of the associated liturgical rites. This study examines the liturgical peculiarities of Holy Week according to the Typicon of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church, focusing on the specific aspects of the Holy Week services and the role of Orthros in the liturgical tradition of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church. The analysis is based on ancient testimonies regarding the development of worship and contemporary practices.Downloads
