John Ericson, The Value of the Church’s Disciplinary Rule with Respect to Salvation in the Oriental Tradition. The present study is devoted to the canons of the Orthodox Church concerning repentance. These canons are closely linked to the Orthodox doctrine of salvation and demonstrate an inner coherence that contributes to an integrated theological structure. Both canonical regulations and dogmatic principles are intricately intertwined, as reflected in the decisions of various local and ecumenical councils and in the works of the Holy Fathers.
