This paper is related to the topic of my dissertation, which I am currently working on. In it I examine the definition of cultural-historical authenticity among the members of European "Indian" organizations (also called Indianists and Euro-Indians), the approaches to seeking and achieving this authenticity in various aspects of their activities, as well as in the different types of such groups. The necessary information was obtained through included observation, direct participation in the activities of "Indian" societies in Bulgaria and in other European countries, conversations and interviews with Indianists from Bulgaria, Latvia, Russia, Hungary, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Germany – and was analyzed with the necessary self-reflection.
