Prof. Timothy Rice and his Book „Ethnomusicology. A Very Short Introduction.“ in Bulgaria

Abstract

This article presents professor Timothy Rice – American ethnomusicologist who dedicated his scientific career to study Bulgarian music and culture and his visit to Bulgaria in May 2016 to accept the title doctor honoris causa of Sofia Univercity „St. Kl. Ohridski“ for his contribution in the research and popularization of Bulgarian music and culture. The paper also gives a short resume of his book: Ethnomusicology.
