Abstract

The article explores the historical reenactment society in Bulgaria. The first part is a brief overview of reenactment's history in Europe and it's roots back in the Middle Ages. The core of the article represents an "inside view" at the Bulgarian society of reenactors and history enthusiasts. The last part of the text is concentrated at the important role that historical reenactment could play in preserving the cultural and historical heritage in Bulgaria.
