Plagiarism and seld-plagiarism
All manuscripts submitted for review are checked for plagiarism using open software (e.g. Grammarly or TextGuard). This ensures that materials published in Research Announcements “Heritage BG” are original. If a report is received that an article published in the journal is a result of plagiarism, the Editorial Board will conduct an investigation. If plagiarism is confirmed, the article will be removed from the website of the published online issue and information about it will be published in the editorial box of the next print issue.
Self-plagiarism (copying paragraphs, sections, parts or ideas from the author’s previous research publications without proper references in the text) is not permitted in the serial. This practice contradicts the principles of research ethics. If self-plagiarism is detected, the rules regarding plagiarism apply.
Manuscripts for which plagiarism has been proven are not retained in the journal’s archive.
