In support of the professional orientation of schoolchildren with intellectual disability

On the basis of EU policies and the Bulgarian law, the article is focused on opportunities for the provision of guidelines and professional orientation to schoolchildren with intellectual disability within the framework of school education. Different opportunities for getting this group of schoolchildren interested in and acquainted with different professions are presented, as well as for enhancing their motivation for becoming proficient in them. The authors share their own positive experience supported by the views of other practitioners.
