Актуалност на определението „източноевропейски литератури” в съвременния литературен контекст

The article comments the sustainability of the definition "Eastern European literatures" in the contemporary literary context. The paper investigates whether a constantly topical use of the definition is a consequence of stereotypes and steady foregoing expectations towards the literatures it relates to or it is a result of a really existing, recognizable today specific literary tradition.
It also comments to what extent the use of the definition represents an imposing of stereotypes and easy categorizations, and to what extent the defence of the specific character of the Eastern European literary tradition is a resistance to the inclination to unification inherent for modern culture. The interpretation is based mainly on the works of contemporary Eastern European authors, written about 2000, where the examined concept have been discussed.
