In the article we consider the works of Natalena Koroleva with the sacral motifs. The vast majority of the author's works are endowed with sacred motifs. We analyze Natalena Koroleva's novellas "Quid est Veritas?" (“What Is the Truth?)” and “1313” as well as the collections of short stories “Once Upon a Time” and “Ancient Kyivan Legends”. In this context we refer to Halyna Tarasyuk's novel “Love and Sin of Mary Magdalene” and Michel Foucault's scientific work “Madness and Civilization: A History of Insanity in the Age of Reason”. In the followings study we also come to a conclusion how often the spiritual and the insanity are combined into a common
binary opposition.
