Abstract

This article presents findings of an international Erasmus+ project "STEM/STEAM in Primary School: The Mission Possible" (S.TEMPO project). The research involved a comprehensive analysis of the educational documentation, including the State Educational Standards and curricula, leading to a detailed mapping of learning content. The curriculum mapping identified key opportunities and methodological approaches for integrating STEM/STEAM activities into the learning process across subjects within the Bulgarian primary school curriculum. Special focus in the analysis was given to subjects such as Homeland Studies, Man and Nature, Man and Society, Mathematics, Technology and Entrepreneurship, Music, and Fine Arts. The results of the curriculum mapping offer a foundation for enhancing the learning content at the primary school level. Additionally, these findings can serve as a valuable resource for the preparation and professional development of future educators, supporting the organization of training and qualification courses for primary teachers by providing guidance on successfully integrating STEM/STEAM concepts into the learning process.
