INTERMODULATION DISTORTION IN WIRELESS AUDIO SYSTEMS AND HOW TO DEAL WITH IT
Abstract
Audio wireless systems are nothing new on the market—they have been used for decades, and since the introduction of digital transmissions in the 2.4 GHz range, there has been little innovation or revolutionary advancement in their development. They have long become a staple of every stage, rental service, live concert, and television production. However, the technology behind their operation remains unfamiliar to many. Even more concerning is that professionals who work daily with such systems often lack the knowledge to properly analyze and diagnose the issues users keep facing. This article explores the challenges of ensuring interferencefree operation of two or more wireless devices within the same frequency range, particularly in environments with high levels of RF congestion.
