Abstract

The report examines the issue of implementing ,,non-traditional‘‘ children’s musiThis article analyzes some of the stylistic characteristics of Ma Sicong, one of the founders of the Chinese violin school. The basis of the analysis is his work Nostalgia, for violin and piano, composed in 1937, his early creative period. The stylistic influences, primarily of French Impressionism, resulting from his years of study in France are highlighted. At the same time, the work Nostalgia demonstrates the peculiarities of the composer‘s thinking and his approaches in the interweaving between the Western and the national.
