Privacy Statement
The editorial board of the journal "Media and Language" is committed to the responsible management of personal data of all parties involved in the publication of the journal.
In view of the fact that the journal "Media and Language" is published in an EU Member State, its editorial policy fully complies with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation). Since the journal is published by the University Press of Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski", the University's privacy policy applies.
The editorial board of the journal informs that:
• Providing personal data is a mandatory condition for submitting an article or review, regardless of whether the subject is an author, co-author or reviewer. Therefore, in case of non-compliance with this requirement, the editorial board will be forced to refuse the consideration/publication of the article or review in question in the journal "Media and Language".
• The administrator of the personal data of all participating parties (Editors/Authors/Reviewers) is Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" through the OJS platform and the editorial board, represented by the editor-in-chief.
• The personal data of all participating parties will be processed only for the purposes of carrying out the review and publication procedures in the journal in an established and transparent manner. As for publication, the personal data will be processed to meet the requirements for referencing and indexing.
• The recipients of the personal data (i.e. names, email addresses, ORCID, links) of the participating parties (editors/authors/reviewers) are the readers of the journal, other persons involved in the publication process, and those engaged in indexing services.
• Journal "Media and Language" collects only the data necessary to publish academic content and stores it indefinitely.
