Submission Preparation Checklist
Before submitting your manuscript, please ensure that:
- The technical formatting requirements have been strictly followed;
- In-text citations and the reference list adhere to the Chicago Citation Style (Author-Date);
- The submission includes a contact card. An ORCID iD is mandatory for all journal contributors;
- The manuscript is provided in Microsoft Word format (.doc/.docx) in two versions: a full version and an anonymized version.

Authors submitting to the Journal for German and Scandinavian Studies retain the copyright to their work. By completing and submitting a separate copyright declaration form, authors grant the St. Kliment Ohridski University Press (the publisher) a non-exclusive, perpetual, worldwide license to publish the article in the Journal for German and Scandinavian Studies. This includes the right to reproduce and distribute the work in both printed and electronic formats, and to make it openly accessible via the Journal’s website for the benefit of all users.
