Резюме

Alexander Alexandrov, Apostolicity of the Church. The number of marks of the Church is immense, as she is the body of Christ and possesses the attributes of the Holy Trinity. However, the Holy Fathers of the Second Ecumenical Council, guided by the Holy Spirit, distilled these marks into four: “I believe in one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church.” These attributes arise from the very essence of the Church, defining its character and distinguishing it from any human institution or society. Apostolicity is the mark that connects the Church of today with the Church founded by the Lord Jesus Christ and His apostles. This is crucial as it serves as a key indicator of its identity. In essence, this mark encompasses the other three—holiness, unity, and catholicity.
