Atanas Vatashki, Saint Justin, Philosopher and Martyr, and his view for the the relationship between Christianity and philosophy. The aim of the article is to study the attitude of one of the earliest and most well-known apologists towards Greek philosophy. In it, St. Justin is regarded as an authentic Christian and biblical thinker, rather than simply a “Christian Middle Platonist.” He demonstrates a deep understanding of philosophy, which enables him to discern both the differences and similarities between Christianity and philosophy. In his thought, the best intellectual and moral achievements of Greek philosophy are seen as a way to approach God through reason, a process that is ultimately supported by Him. However, this search finds its fulfillment in the person of the Lord Jesus Christ.Файлове за сваляне
