Abstract

The present research is dedicated to a sectarian text from Qumran titled “Thanksgiving Hymns” (1QH) and, an exegesis on selected parts of it. The aim is to outline the reasons why the material of the Qumran sect includes interpretations of Biblical themes, connected with the Hebrew term ‚evil‘ (ra) in the sense of the act of sinning.
