The Requirement of Urgency in Temporary Measures Enactment Procedures before the Court of Justice of the European Union

The article deals with the obligation of the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) to make an assessment of the urgency of a request for temporary measure imposition in the proceedings under Art. 278 and Art. 279 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union (TFEU). It is through analyzing the practice of the CJEU that an examination is conducted of the questions of how such an assessment should be made and what the criterion for urgency of the request is.
