Retorsion to minor bodily harm

Abstract

This article examines the institute of retorsion to the crime “minor bodily harm” in Bulgarian criminal law. The regulation of the institute under the Criminal Law of 1896 and the Criminal Code of 1951 is examined. Some problems with the self-defence are discussed. A comparison with the regulation in some countries is made. Proposals for improving the regulation are made.
