Electronic identification of administrative services applicants

Abstract

This article deals with the legal regulation of the electronic identification of applicants for electronic administrative services. The Electronic Government Law lays down that these persons are identified in accordance with a procedure prescribed by law, however, the said Law does not specify the cases in which it is necessary to carry out electronic identification when providing administrative services, neither does it specify the acceptable ways to carry out this identification. The absence of clear regulation obstructs the implementation of this identification. Regulatory amendments are proposed for overcoming the shortcomings established in the regulation.
