Джайнистка „бронзова“ cтатуетка
иконография и разчитане на надписа

Настоящото изследване предлага сравнително точно датиране, описание на иконографията, оригиналния текст, гравиран на писмеността деванагари, и транслитерация и превод на четивната част от надписа от задната страна на джайнска (джайнистка) метална статуетка-олтар най-вероятно от Гуджарат или Раджастхан на съвършения учител тиртханкара Паршванатха. Освен съпоставка и сравнителен анализ с други образци на джайнистки бронзови статуетки-олтари, статията въвежда и в контекста, в който такива статуетки са създадени, като накратко е представено религиозно-философското учение на джайнизма, описана е идеята за съвършените двайсет и четирима учители тиртханкара, споменати са най-важните от тях и основните им достижения и идеи. Изследваната статуетка е по-късна от посочената в надписа ѝ дата, вероятно е изработена от занаятчия, който не е бил детайлно запознат с джайнизма и с иконографията на Паршванатха. Към този извод насочва изпускането на важни детайли и преобразяване на част от задължителните елементи. Макар върху надписа от задната страна на статуетката да е изписана датата на предполагаемото създаване на статуетката – 1354 (1298 г.), при анализ на сплавта, от която е направена, се оказва, че тя е от XIX в.
