Focus & Scope

Studia Archaeologica Universitatis Serdicensis welcomes original and interdisciplinary archaeological research covering the period from Prehistory to the Ottoman Period, with a geographic emphasis on Southeastern Europe, Asia Minor, the Black Sea region, and the Eastern Mediterranean. We embrace a wide array of methodologies – from traditional archaeological investigations to archaeometric analyses and advanced digital technologies – providing a rigorous platform for the advancement of knowledge and constructive scholarly exchange.
Beyond interpretative studies, we actively encourage the publication of primary archaeological data, including preliminary findings, individual discoveries, and original datasets. These contributions are essential for ensuring the timely dissemination of new information that can stimulate further research and critical discussion.
We also invite contributions in museology, acknowledging the crucial role museums play in the preservation, interpretation, and dissemination of archaeological heritage.
