Aims and scope
Forum Theologicum Sardicense is an international, peer-reviewed academic journal published by the Faculty of Theology at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski.” With more than thirty-two years of continuous presence and publication activity, in the various forms the journal has taken over time, it has established itself as a stable and respected platform for theological scholarship in Bulgaria and beyond.
The journal aims to advance rigorous academic research in theology and religious studies while providing a space for discussion and critical exchange among established scholars and leading voices in the academic community, as well as newer researchers in the humanities.
Forum Theologicum Sardicense seeks to offer a much-needed forum for interaction, scholarly debate, and academic visibility within Bulgarian society and the wider international context. While primarily a theological journal, Forum Theologicum Sardicense actively cultivates a dialogue-oriented relationship with other academic disciplines, including philosophy, history, social sciences, and related fields.
The journal welcomes contributions that engage with historical, systematic, biblical, pastoral, doctrinal, ethical, and comparative perspectives, as well as interdisciplinary approaches that illuminate religious thought and practice in their broader cultural and intellectual settings.
Committed to high academic standards and international scholarly exchange, Forum Theologicum Sardicense publishes original research articles, critical reviews, and texts related to ongoing or completed research projects that have not been published or submitted elsewhere. Manuscripts are accepted in multiple European languages, with abstracts and keywords provided in English to ensure accessibility and engagement within the global research community.
