Абстракт

This review examines the monograph Ecumenism, Primacy, Authority and Love: Faces of a Complex Theological Reality by Archimandrite Maxim (Iuliu-Marius Morariu), a scholar with doctorates in theology and social sciences, extensive publications, and pastoral experience in the Romanian Orthodox Diocese of Canada. The book, structured as an anthology of interrelated studies, addresses primacy and conciliarity in Orthodox–Catholic dialogue, challenges of church life in the diaspora, ethnophyletism, and historical case studies such as the Legionary Movement and church–state relations under communism. The review commends the work’s breadth and integration of pastoral insight, while noting the need for a clearer Christocentric grounding of its universalist vision.
