Текстът си поставя за цел да проследи връзката междумобилността и конструирането на европейското гражданство. Изхождайки от факта, че концепцията за мобилността е дълбоко залегнала в идеята за Европейския съюз, и стъпвайки на базата на емпиричен материал, текстът анализира конструирането на европейска идентичност сред мобилни граждани, избрали да живеят в София. Особен акцент е поставен върху предефинирането на класическото разбиране за гражданство, обвързващо индивида с националната държава, като е предложен аналитичен вход през концепцията за гражданска активност и граждански ангажимент, отиващи отвъд границите на националното публично пространство.
