The dual education system

The article deals with the labor-law related issues of the newly regulated “dual education system” in Bulgaria. This system is a specific combination of practical training in a company and lessons at a vocational school (mostly known in Germany and Austria). The study addresses the recent amendments to the Professional Training and Education Act and to the Labour Code (respectively, to the relevant secondary legislation), implementing the dual education system. The practical problems of the implementation of the discussed model are critically analysed in the article. As a result, some improvements of the regulation are proposed.
