Abstract

At first sight, the latest amendments to Bulgarian legislation seem to be directed at giving additional guarantees of the rights of people with disabilities, but, unfortunately, these amendments turned out to be disputable ones. The study aims at disclosing certain imperfections of the operative regime as well as to propose decisions on over coming them. A critical analysis is made of the obligation to pay ‘compensation contributions’ in case of non-compliance with the employment quotas of permanently disabled people, this obli gation being regulated incompletely and incom pre hensively in the Law on People with Disabilities and the subordinate legislation acts of its implementation.
